- Compatability is the key for me. The ZIP is a potential candidate for replacing
- the current High-Density floppy drive that come standard with most computers
- today. Also, the Zip is new, so look for the price of disks to decrease
- dramatically as wel as the drive itself. Syquest drives are based on old hard
- drive technology which is inherently more volatile and fragile than the ZIP. I
- can't see commercial software ever being sold on a Syquest cart, but you'd
- better believe the ZIP disk may provide that function, CD-ROM not withstanding.
